    Just an addition to what paul has mentioned here. 
You can use the command as below that way lot of junk can be avoided. 

try the Program here and see if it works

let $command = 'ls -lts | tr -s " " | cut -d" " -f9 > /tmp/files.txt'  

then execute the command using system command and  inside the SQR
follow Pauls Instruction.
