Put the ID/Password in and @file and refer to it in your command line.

You can then secure this file.  This also hides the id/password when using 
ps command.

Hi all

    We have SQR v6.2  ( will be upgrading to 8.2 within 90 days) but my 
question is our internal auditors are requiring us to remove the 
login/password from the sqr command line.  we are running SQR on a UNIX 
system against an Oracle 8I database
