Hi,
One of my requirements is this: The users need an Excel export of the
report that is generated as an SPF file.
To accomplish this, I have the SQR code that creates the Excel Export
successfully - i.e. if I launched the report generation from a client
PC. But my users have to go through Citrix to access the Reporting
application & then I hit a roadblock.
I have 2 specific questions for this group:
Is there a way by which I can provide a menu option on the SPF Viewer
itself, like "File-Save As Excel Report" or is there any other
workaround (any kind of triggers) where I can provide some means by
which I can allow the users to select a folder location on their local
drives where they can save my Excel export? If this is feasible, then
how do I interpret the return values? Saving the excel export to
C:\Temp\filname.xls does not work, 'cos this file gets wriiten to the
virtual local area of Citrix. If the above is not feasible, then is there
any means by which I can pass the right parameters (knowing this would
be the key) to force the excel export to a local temp folder on the
user's PC, as opposed to the virtual local area within Citrix?I would
greatly appreciate your input.
Thanks in advance,
Jessie
