How large is your output file when the sqr bails?  I still think you're 
running up against an OS size limit; on AIX it would be the ulimit - you 
should get your system admin involved.

Yeah we are getting a core dump after a certain number of rows are met.
The record length is 2098 and on HP unix.

I'm not aware of any.  Are you running into a problem?  What operating
system?  Fixed or varying length records?  If fixed, what record size?
