There was a similar problem at one of the big PS shops, and the resolution
was to split the file into manageable size and then process sequentially.

Is it somewhere near 1024000 records?  If so, then you're probably
bumping into a 2GB file limit.  I'm not sure whether you'll be able
to easily get around this.
