One of my users ran into the following error running sqrw.
(SQR 5543) Specify the Oracle DLL name in the SQR.INI file in
(Environment
Oracle] section for ORAVLE_DLL entry such as
ORACLE_DLL =orant71.dll
I found an old thread on sqrug which helped me to solve the problem but
the solution, at least the one I found, is not explicitly spelled out in
any posting. So in the interest of contributing to the knowledge base I
will share my solution.
Simply add the path to the oracle binaries on your local machine to
your system PATH variable. C:\oracle\ora81\bin
Start>Settings>Control Panel>System. Select the Advanced tab on the
System Properties dialog box. Click the Environment variables button.
Edit the path system variable to include the path to the oracle
binaries. C:\oracle\ora81\bin;
