In my sqr, I have a string $inp-email-addr
Before processing this string I want to make sure that it only contains
alpha (no numerics), an @ sign and periods, and nothing else. ex:
john.doe@abcd.com
I want to make sure that there are no commas, hyphens, apostrophes, etc.
(basically no special characters)
What is the easiest way to verify my string before processing it?
If there are any of these things, I don't want to replace them with
anything, just remove them.
Thanks.
Patti Overcashier
