Tempting though the BOFH art of user discipline is, it might be better
to step back and look at the problem. If Oracle Forms quit capturing
after the first token, Larry Ellison would have a deal less money,
wouldn't he?

Typically, Oracle Forms are a handy front end to a relational table, no?
Joe User bangs in a job name in box one, a tale of woe in box 2, hits
save, and the code behind pushes it all into the table. So, what exactly
is writing the ASCII file? The SQR program? A PL/SQL block using the
TEXT_IO or UTIL_FILE package? Without knowing that, it's hard to guess
what is happening.
