Annerose,
I am not certain what a KSAM file is, but if it can be extracted into a flat
file, you can process that through SQR, or dump it into a table in a
relationaly database and then use the RDBMS to do the processing.
hope this helps,

Hello,
is there any possibility to access a KSAM (key sequenced/index) file, a
very big file on a fast kind of way:
I have to check the validity of an employee-number against a very big
personal-file and it takes very long
many thanks
