We're trying to print an image (our logo) in an SQR in Peoplesoft 8.
Most of the users of this report will be running the report to a .PDF
file. However, some of them print directly to the printer to save time.
When printing to .PDF, it seems like the only image format that works
is .JPG but when printing directly to the printer we either get a gray
shaded box or a box with a line through it. I understand that we could
use an .EPS file when printing to a Postscript printer, or HPGL format
when printing to an HP printer. However, how does the SQR know at
run-time what the output destination is?
There has to be a better way than adding to the run control record a
radio button that lets the user select their output format (or querying
the Peoplesoft process scheduler table to parse out the output
destination).
Is there a better way?
