[sqr-users] Precison problems

Hi there,

Here is my problem. I have a numeric field in my SQR. The field contains
the result of a percentage calculation. I wish to update my database table
with that field. The column in database table is defined as NUMBER(6,3).
When I display SQR variable it appears as 50000.000000. When I issue UPDATE
tablename SQL in the SQR I keep getting following error.

(SQR 5528) ORACLE OCIStmtExecute error 1438 in cursor 3:
ORA-01438: value larger than specified precision allows for this column

I cannot figure out how to correct this. I have made many attempts at
trying to fix this but with no success. Can someone please explain how I
should be coding this in SQR in order for the SQL statement to work.

Your help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks in advance and look forward to your reply.

...Bruce
