Just wanted to thank those that replied for your time
Wes Williams from http://groups.yahoo.com/group/MAXIMO/ informed me of the
"datepart" function which did the trick.
order by workorder, datepart(yy, targcompate), datepart(dy,
targcompdate),wo3,eqnum
