In Oracle there's a TRUNC function that would do this - ORDER BY TRUNC(MYDATE)- 
not sure if this is unique to Oracle or if it works in SQLServer.

Hello All,
I have a date field that includes hours and minutes and I am trying to get
my order by to only look at the mm/dd/yyyy.  Suggestions?
