RE: [sqr-users] Re: Migrating from SQR 3.x to 6.x
sqr 6 has an sqr.ini file in the bin directory on unix systems.

Hi ,
Thank you very much .... this doucument will be of great help to me.But I
have one Question.
while reading the document I found that you can change the date format by
changing the value of the
variable in sqr.ini,
SQR_DB_DATE_FORMAT='DD-MON-YYYY'
but how do i do this setting for SQR in unix , as there is no .ini file...??

I've added the upgrade document that Steve Cavill mentioned
to the SQRUG Library. You can find it at:
http://www.sqrug.org/ftp/upgrading_from_sqr_v3.pdf
That document appears to be based on one that SQRIBE technical support
wrote up back when v4 first came out. You can find a copy of that
original document from (which was posted to sqr-users at that time) at:
http://www.sqrug.org/sqr-users/sqrusers_99q2/msg01070.html
If the message archive is updated and that link doesn't point to the v3
upgrade message anymore, search for "update compatibility of sqr
versions" at look for the posting by Franck Masson. (The archive search
is found at http://www.sqrug.org/sqr-users/ )
If you search for "upgrade" or "migration" you will find lots of other
hints that have been mentioned over the years.
