Paul,

I wrote an SQR program a few years ago that converts a BMP file
into an HPGL file suitable for use with SQR.  You may be able to
use this program if you're considering the PLAN B approach of
converting a BMP file to HPGL and printing the file to an HP printer.

Look for "bmp_to_hpg.sqr" on this page in the "Utilities" section:

There you'll find a sample usage program, input, and output files.
