RE: [sqr-users] Decimal Object Conversion error



You can find info on metalink about this regarding Oracle bug#2235818.
There is a Note that describes how to work around this problem, titled
"Mapinfo is able to access Oracle Spatial Data but on opening returns the
error: 
Unsupported data type for Column(s): {column name}"

Vishnu,

It directs the Oracle database server to use the previous method (prior to
9.2.0.3) when dealing with NUMERIC (or DECIMAL) numbers.
