[sqr-users] Edit Dates from a file.

Does anyone have a solid way to edit dates coming in on a file?  I'm expecting 
a date to be in the "mm/dd/yyy" format.  So if I get garbage, I need to flag 
it.  Or if the date is 02/30/2003, I need to flag that as a bad date as well.
