I am just wondering how Peoplesoft is going to react- just on monday they have 
acquired JD Edwards.
Do anyone of you know what is the reaction from Peoplesoft side?

I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts about how this might
affect SQR (in the long run) if the deal is consumated.  

I suspect that existing PS customers will continue to be supported
for quite a long time and that SQR will continue to be part of 
the supported software platform.

Oracle may try to push PS customers toward the Oracle database
and development tools, over time, but I suspect they're mostly
interested in the cash flow.  

Does anyone know whether they provided a nice bridge for users 
from DEC/RDB to Oracle back when they acquired that technology?

Of course, if they bought PS because they wanted to have access
to the SQR code to replace Oracle Reports, they probably could have
bought Brio for less. ;-)
