RE: [sqr-users] bizarre error when executing jobs
When I get really results that seem to contradict what's in front of my
eyes, sometimes the answer is to be very, very sure that the source code I'm
viewing is the same as the source code being executed. Particularly in a
large organization, there may be one place for programmers to view and
another place for SQR to compile the code. Supposedly, the files are
identical in the two places - but there could be an exception. This is
probably not the problem, but it might be worth checking out.

Subject: [sqr-users] bizarre error when executing jobs
This error seems bizarre to me. Hopefully some of you
have seen it tons of times.
When running reports from the portal, most work. It is
relevant to note the reports that work have the exact same
code as those that don't. Exactly. The only difference
is in the program name (the code parses it in lieu of input
parameters; hence the multiple copies of the exact same
code).
There are a few reports that, when run from the portal
interface, simply say "failed to run".
When run from a java program to submit jobs, those same
reports return:
com.sqribe.rm.ReportMartException: The HTML output is zipped but
there isn't a SPF Security File. Unable to store job output.
Just before running this java program, new categories were
created for every report. There should be nothing in
them except the SQR.
I deleted some of the categories and republished the SQR;
the error didn't go away.
A search on my SQR revels that the security command is not
included anywhere, though I was working on a solution that
included it at one time. Could that have flipped some
setting on the portal which never got flipped off?
I am so baffled I am not even certain what to ask.
Andrew :)
