Re: [sqr-users] distributing SQR output using portal API
Andrew,
If you're looking for a technical discussion forum related to
BrioPortal, see:
http://www.sqrug.org/rm-users/
There's not nearly as much traffic on rm-users as sqr-users, but
it's a good group. (BrioPortal used to be called ReportMart, hence
the "rm" in rm-users).
The API for BrioPortal 7.x is the installation component called
"ONE/Integrator". You should find this on the installation CD.
If you installed it, it would probably be in a directory called
ONEIntegrator in the same directory where you installed BrioPortal.
It includes a bunch of Java jar files, and some Jython (formerly
JPython) stuff.
Another approach you might consider is using SQR to generate a
"SPECT" script. SPECT is a BrioPortal publishing and configuration
tool that reads a text file (a .spect script) and executes the
commands contained there. You can create users, groups, categories,
and SQR jobs, for example. SPECT is a free java program that uses
the API to do the work.

Hope this helps.
