All,

Thank you for your assistance so far.  I was able to get past my earlier 
problem by enclosing the variables in brackets.  Now, I have a new issue.  
It seems like, based on what I am seeing happen that If I apply a grant and 
an alias on a table that I select, it closes by primary select and restarts 
it, selecting the same record (the first one) and reprocessing it, and I end

up with a duplicate record error.

Any one know how I can get around this short of loading an array and 
processing it?
