Subject: Re: [sqr-users] SQR for ODBC Connectivity
PeopleSoft might have shipped the database specific version of SQR
(instead of ODBC version of SQR) with your PeopleTools CD.
There will be a file called 'version' in your SQR bin directory.
Open the file. If the file does not say ODBC compliant then your
-DBDSN
calls will not work.

We have recently upgraded to PeopleSoft Financials 8.42 and I'm having
a bit
of trouble getting an SQR that previously worked before.
I've got a procedure that needs to connect to a different DB2 database
and
SQRW gives me the following error:
Error on line 107:
(SQR 3730) Incorrect arguments for BEGIN-SQL:
[-Cnn] [ON-ERROR=procedure[(arg1[,argi]...)]]
BEGIN-SQL -DBDSN=FS84TST;UID=xxxxxx;PWD=*******
I compared the SQR Help file for the new SQR version (SQR for
Peoplesoft
V8.42) to the previous version (SQR V4.3.4) and there is no difference
in
the -DB parameters. Did Peoplesoft, in their infinite wisdom, disable
this
functionality? Or am I completely clueless and I'm missing something
in the
-DB syntax?
Thank in advance!!!!
