[sqr-users] mail loop fixed

SQR Users,

I modified the user subscription that was causing the e-mail loop
this morning.   It was caused by an out-of-office auto-reply 
message that was reponding to its own acknowledgements.

Some hints for those of you who ever think about using some sort of
Vacation/Out Of Office program -- you should make sure that:

  1) It only sends _one_ "on vacation" note back to a given address.
     Obviously, if this rule is not followed, Bad Things(tm) happen
     on mailing lists -- and even for more private communication
     getting more than one "on vacation" note can be irritating to
     people who are e-mailing you while you are away.

  2) It does not send notes in response to "bulk" messages.
     The sqr-users list (and most other mailing lists) always sends
     messages with a "Precedence: bulk" header line.  A good Vacation
     program will notice this and avoid sending a response, thus
     preventing your vacation schedule from being distributed
     to everyone on the mailing list (as well as being posted on the
     web in the list archives...).

Check with your mail administrator to make sure that you system's
Vacation progrom follows these guidelines, and everyone will be a lot
happier :)
