RE: [sqr-users] CSV output

If we directly create the .csv file, using write commands instead of print
commands, the following happens:
1.  We can only get a .csv file, the users do not have the option of
getting .pdf files.  In the current environment, at runtime the users can
select .pdf, .csv, .html, or .lis (direct to print) for their output
options.
2.  The Peoplesoft runtime system will not recognize the file, so it will
not move it to the report repository, and create a web link to it so the
users can download the file.  The users only access to the server is
throught the application.

So my question returns to the original, how can I give the conversion
process the resources it need to complete the job?  In the Glance
performance moniter, I can see the task is doing something, it is chewing
up lots of cycles, but never seems to get anywhere.
