[sqr-users] PDF files with Simplified Chinese
All,
Has anyone had any success producing PDF files containing Simplified Chinese
characters using SQR 6.1.4 sqrwp?
Our environment is:
Orignal datasource: Chinese text in Oracle 8i - (DB character set ZHS16GBK)
SQR 6.1.4
Simplified Chinese Windows 2000
I have successfully created a .spf file which displays chinese characters
correctly, and I then use sqrwp to produce a PDF file. However, no
combination of encoding settings in sqr.ini seems to allow me to produce a
.pdf file containing Chinese characters. The characters at the moment
always get turned into a jumbled
string of ascii characters and it doesn't look like the fonts are getting
embedded correctly. Does anyone have advice on the correct encoding / font
substitution list for the sqr.ini file?
Thanks in advance
Daniel
