Michael, I've been here since v2. There have been very few backward
compatibility issues, as far as syntax or operation goes.
I only remember one ... at some point, the interpretation of variable names
line "#variable-1" changed. This is ambiguous; it's not clear whether you
mean a variable named #variable-1 or "#variable - 1".
I'll bet Ray Ontko can dredge up a couple more.
