Can you open the flat file in notepad (do not select word wrapping) and see
if indeed you see only 1 line there.
The end of line maybe lost during conversion/creation of flat file.

Subject: [sqr-users] unexpected end-of-file reading flat file
Good morning SQR users,
We are a DB2/MVS shop running PeopleSoft HRMS version 8.3. I have
written a new SQR that reads a flat file, does some SQL-SELECT's against
PeopleSoft tables based upon data in the input flat file and then writes
out another flat file. The SQR is checking the #end-file reserved variable
to determine end-of-file for the input. For some reason, the #end-file is
set to 1(no more records) after the first record is read and processed.
There are still hundreds more records to process. Has anyone ever
encountered this problem? Is there anything unusual about the #end-file
variable? If necessary, I can send you the text of the program.
thanks,
Steve
