Sam,

You are using a proportional font.  You need to either account for this or
use a monospace font.  The CHARACTER-WIDTH value is used to compute the
initial position on the line when SQR initiates a command that specifies a
location (i.e. PRINT, POSITION, etc).

Hi,
  Iam printing a report, in which a column has both Capital and Small
Characters. I have truncated the column to 30 characters, and has allocated
space accordingly, but when the Column field contains a lot of Capital
characters, it prints in the report but overlaps with the next field. I
thought that the CHAR-WIDTH would restrict it, but it didn't. Is there any
solution for this or am I wrong anywhere?
