But does that warrant his abusive, and now mysogynistic, behaviour?

Surely a topic of this importance would have much more impact among the 
readership were it not for Mr. Thorburn's abusive manner. His conduct brings 
discredit to his "cause".

The discussion of the issue is acceptable. Mr. Thorburn's conduct is not.
