Does this Panel already exist? If yes, then look at the table behind it and
select the values from it in your sqr. If no, then you will have to create a
Run_control table with the fields you mentioned as well as the typical
run_control parameters (Run_cntl_Id, Oprid etc...). Then Create your panel
using this table, and then write your sqr to select the values input by the
user from the Run_control table you created. What you do with the values
after you get them is up to you. To see how theis is done just select any
table in Application Designer with %RNCTL% in it's name and look at how they
are constructed. Base your table on them. Then look at any sqr that uses one
of these tables and it will show you how to retrieve the data.

Subject: HELP W/ ACCEPTING INPUT PARAMETERS FROM PEOPLESOFT PANELS
Hi,
I need to use a peoplesoft panel to accept a one or more parameters to be
used in the where clause of a sql statement.
For example,
1. Product Field Sort criteria (number these in order that user would like
them sorted):
Note: The product field is a 6 character field where the first is the
customer type, second thru fourth is the Plan Type, fifth is the Type of
Service and sixth is Allow/Unallow.
Customer Type ____
Plan Type ____
Type of Service ____
Allow/Unallow ____
2. Business Unit criteria:
All Business Units ____
Specified Business Unit(s) _________ , __________, __________, ...
3. Account criteria:
All Accounts ______
Specified Account ______
Range of Accounts __________ ____________
4. Time span:
Current Month _______
YTD ______
I know there are several ways but what do you think would be the correct way
to do this?
I've only written simple interfaces without any input parameters from the
user so this one's a bit challenging so any help would be appreciated.
