Several years ago we were successful running the SCO version of SQR
v3.0.15 under Linux, and I assume the same approach would haved worked
okay for v3.0.13.x as well.
In order to do this, we used the "ibcs" package to run these SCO
binaries under Linux. You didn't mention which database you are
connecting to, but we were using Oracle, and so we also needed to get
SQL*Net for SCO from Oracle. You can find more information at:
ftp://tsx-11.mit.edu/pub/linux/BETA/ibcs2/
http://www.linux.org/docs/ldp/howto/Oracle-7-HOWTO.html
We did this under Debian, but ibcs should run on most (if not all) Linux
distributions. I'm not sure how well it works on later kernels (2.4.x),
however. (An important part of ibcs is a kernel module, and I don't
know if anyone has bothered to update that module to kernel 2.4.)
We have been running later versions of SQR (the ones with true Linux
ports) with good success since those days, so I would probably recommend
that you give the offical Linux versions a try before trying to go the
ibcs route. (Note, for example, that I'm not sure if Oracle v8 support
is available in SCO format.) But if you decide that you really want to
be using 3.0.13.x, the above links should get you started....
Good luck.
