Re: Running out of memory when running Peoplesoft SQR's with Vers ion5.12 Financials on Pentium 4 worksta

It's a problem with windows 2000 service pack 2and Psoft versions before 8.
I was able to run Peoplesoft SQR from Ptolls version 5.1, then Ptools 7.5,
then Ptools 7.62 in windows 2000- with each upgrade I have to find out
different soultions..some of them are related with regsitry change. Without
knowing exactly how your system works- like whether you talk with DB2 via
Gupta/Centura or DB2Connect I cannot tell you exactly how you will do this
But here are some suggestions:
Look at Peoplesoft resolution id 692150 in Customer connection. But that is
specific to Psoft 7.62.
Try out the followings also:
a) Put the sqr.log file (if you do not have one create that) and put it to
c:\temp directory. Try your SQR.
if it do not work
b) Change the c:\temp\ to c:\\temp\\ in all the ini files and config for
SQR- like SQR.INI, pstools.ini
third approach
c) take out service pack 2 from windows 2000 and install only service pack
1- though i am not sure whether that will be permissible as per your company
policy or not.

Thanks,
Rajib

We are trying to roll out some Pentium 4 workstation, but we are having
problems. We have versions Peoplesoft 5.12 Financials with DB2 and
Peoplesoft 6.12 Financials with Oracle. When we try to run a SQR in
Peoplesoft 5.12 Financials with DB2 with a Pentium 4 workstation it runs out
of memory. There is supposedly the same problems with Windows 2000 and XP.

I was wondering does anyone know how to work around or solve this problem
besides upgrading to another version of Peoplesoft?

                                                       Thanks Ken
