Re: PAY003 - Can't Print Signatures From HP Secure Card

Daniel,

Micr and signature are two different thing. Micr use a magnetic toner
cartridge and since both signature and micr appears in the same media then
your signature or pay document is utilizing the same magnetic toner.

Micr will print if you first place the printer's micr capability (assuming
it has one) to ON (encode '<27><27>%-12400X' into $micr_command). Ones the
program is ended the printer automatically turns off its micr function.

HP should have furnished you the escape sequences for the signatures or for
any graphics embedded on the SIMM/DIMM chip. These sequences tells the
program where to get the proper signatures and how many lines does the
signature/graphic occupies in the memory grid. Without this exact escape
sequences, the printer does not know where to begin. PS provides a generic
escape sequence which is only good for a single signature and assuming you
have an HP5Si printer. If you have a different printer model, then the
escape sequence will differ a little bit.

My company is utilizing 3 different signatures plus 2 different kind
of logos in one SIMM chip and escape sequences was provided by HP.
