Re: printing multiple copies of an sqr listing

Hello,

Is this a batch job or an interactive job?

If it's batch, you may be able to just set up the batch call to run the SQR
to a file, then copy the file to the printer three times. I don't think
that Process Scheduler can do this, but I am fairly sure that most of the
third-party schedulers (such as Maestro and AutoSys) can. (You may need to
create a batch file/shell script to do the copying.) This is a little bit
more overhead than the escape codes (since you are sending the report more
than once), but faster than looping through the entire SQR more than once.

Hope that this helps,

Allen

I am trying to produce output from an sqr which will print 3 copies. So
far, I have been "somewhat" successful by using the encode command with the
proper escape sequence to the printer. But the results are not collated.
My test document of two pages comes off the printer (an HP Laserjet) as 1,
1 then 2, 2. I want 1, 2 then 1, 2 again, etc.

Is there an escape sequence to force this printer to collate the output?

Is what I am attempting possible with sqr and the way it does paging?

Any suggestions to solve this would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
