Rumors of SQR's demise from PeopleSoft suite have been around since
the advent of Query and Crystal Reports.

PeopleSoft purchased rights to SQR and now distributes their own
version. This should dispel any doubts about SQR and PeopleSoft. As
others that have responded have pointed out, many "processes" are
being moved to Application Engine, however some remain in SQR.  And
all reports remain either in SQR or Crystal. It will be around for the
long haul.
