I think it's important to note that App Engine in PS 8 is a lot different
than - and improves upon - the version 7.x product.
It still has that quirky App Engine way of doing things, but at Chris says,
with the addition of allowing ANY PeopleCode and Component Interfaces to
boot, we suddenly can do some things very nicely in App Engine that were
very hard to do in SQR.
I think we've seen confirmation on this list before that PS has licensed
their "own" version of SQR, but to date I haven't heard any details on
what, if anything, is different. I do remember that the version of SQR
delivered with PS 8 is SQR 6.x.y or some such. However, we are doing the
PS 8 upgrade and I have yet to hear of any SQR version problems, so
*hopefully* this change will be transparent...
