Re: SQR vs Application Engine

SQR is not being replaced in 8, but the App Engine is being used more and more 
for processing-style SQRs and COBOLs.  There are similar rumours about COBOL 
being replaced by C++, but that is on the application side (ie PS Tools), not 
the functional side.

I keep hearing that SQR will be replaced by Application Engine in 8.0.  Is this 
fact, or merely rumour?  I didn't think Application Engine could be used to 
generate reports.
