Re: Selecting data from a legacy database
Justin,
We run P/S on DB2 and I'm pretty sure you'd have to have SQR installed in
your Legacy environment in order for it to be able to touch the databases
there. Just my opinion, but I think it'd be simplier to build it in the
legacy environment, then let your SQR grab it.

Subject: Selecting data from a legacy database
I have PeopleSoft installed on an Oracle database. However, I need data
from a legacy database
and have it formatted and written to a flat file. A delivered SQR will then
grab the data from
that flat file. Can I write an SQR program to log into this legacy
database, select the data,
and write it to a flat file? If so, how and where do I let peoplesoft know
i want the sqr to be
run on the legacy database and not Oracle? This will be a daily process.
Or would it be
easier to select the data and format it daily using a legacy tool and not go
through sqr?
