They are formatted .csv. I want as much automation as possible. I could
easily do this in MS Access by bringing the files in there and doing a
unmatched query but the steps I must take before that are too cumbersome.
Currently to compare a file:

1.      Run PS Queries to get the different queries to excel - one out of
our SFS system and one from our SA system.
2.      Open database in Access and bring in both of these excel files using
Import.
3.      Run a unmatched query in access.
4.      Save file to csv to be able to load into SA the data not in there
already.

I'm going to have to do this for at least 8 different other tables and I
want to make it as much automated as possible.

I have some information to share, but first, what is it you are trying to
compare - obviously lat files, but are they formatted (delimitted flat file)
or free form (sqr program).  Also, in what environment/OS?  How much
automation do you want, or user intervention?

Does anyone know if it is possible to compare two flat files to create a new
flat file of rows that are in one of the flat files but not in the other?
