yes. multiedit for DOS will search, for example, for any occurance of "foo"
anywhere in text columns 10 thru 15 of a million row data file. (...might
take a while).
I don't know if multiedit for windows will do this, but I suppose so.)
As I mentioned, about once every 2 years when you need to scrub data, this
feature comes in very handy.
