Try the following:

let $path = 'c:\temp'

then with the rest of your original code:

   let $InputFile    = 'c:\temp\hsnabchs.POS'
   let $copy_command = getenv('COMSPEC') || ' /c copy ' || $path
           ||'\WO*.POS*'|| ' '||$InputFile


This one works for me.
