Re: Print to USB port

Thanks for the reply. As you could surmise from my question, I've done some
research and tried many ideas. The SQR viewer worked well but the three
extra mouse clicks will drive users crazy. So what I'm going to do is use
PeopleCode, OLE and the DYMO SDK to print the bar codes. It actually works
pretty well.

The SQRUG site has been a tremendous help with this issue and others.
Please keep it going.

I'm afraid I can't help you with your USB-printer questions, but recent
versions of SQRW/SQRWP can support printing to a specified Windows
printer using "-PRINTER:WP:{unc}". Unfortunately, SQR v4.3.4 is too old
to have this functionality, so you'll need to talk to PeopleSoft to see
if they will send you a more recent version of SQR to use for this
application. (I'm pretty sure they won't officially support any
versions of SQR later than v4.3.4 with PeopleTools v7.06, but I haven't
had to deal with that issue recently.)

(I looked at http://www.ontko.com/sqr/sqrcard.html#SQR_COMMAND_LINE
to see find that this functionality was added in SQR v6.0.)
