Just a thought...how many folks remember the licensing fiasco with
Merant COBOL? Maybe PeopleSoft is trying to pre-empt Brio from trying
the same thing...though its not likely that Brio would or could do the
same thing.
The stated intention of PeopleSoft is to move what we think of as "SQR
Processes", or programs that only crunch data such as interfaces that
do not require a report, to AE. For me that disqualifies a lot of
processes since I pretty much always generate a report with an
interface. Even if you don't print it, its nice to have it available
when needed.
