00 not a valid year - a 'freebie' question please

Not quite a 'newbie' but have just joined the user's group. Hope someone can
steer us in the right direction. We have had consultants, and employees
trying to figure this problem out.

Our configuration is as follows:

HP-UX-11 (used as database server, runs Process Scheduler, and used to store
reports)
Oracle 8i (version 8.1.7.3)
Have just installed PeopleSoft Version 8 - using HR

In running the PeopleSoft reports through the Web, a number of our reports
fail with the message 00 not a valid year where we have to enter an
asofdate. If we do a display of the asofdate and any date pulled from
PeopleSoft, the date is in the format dd-mon-yy.

If we don't enter an asofdate, we don't get an error message, but neither do
we get any output. We can run the programs successfully on an NT server and
if we do a display of the date the format is DD-MON-YYYY.

We have looked at SETENV.SQC, PSSQR.UNX, SETUPDB.SQC, PSONFIB.SH, PSDB.SH
and just about anywhere we can think of where the date is set and in all
places it is set as DD-MON-YYYY. Our PSSQRFLAGS seems to be going to the
right place to pick up PSSQR.UNX. We have even modified the program to do an
ALTER SESSION to change the value of NLS_DATE_FORMAT to DD-MON-YYYY. Any
ideas as to what we may have missed. Is there any way of finding out the
value of SQR_DBA_FORMAT or setting the value from within the program to
ensure that the correct value is being picked up.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Louise
