Re: Windows 2000 SP2
Allen,
Thank you very much. I have seen a lot of workarounds, but yours works
great with the least amount of effort.

Sean - Below is the fix, it has worked great for us. Note that it does not
adversely affect NT, WIN2000 SP1 users, even though the fix goes to the
network config files:
Problem: Customers are no longer able to send any SQR output to their
c:\temp directory. This only affects SQR 4.3.x. SQR version 6.1.1 and 6.1.4
are not affected. You will also get this error when trying to send the log
file to the temp directory. (SQR 5703) Error opening the sqr log file. Works
for build 7.60 or 7.61
Solution:
Have the customer do the following:
The PSoft directory structure looks like this:
X:\FS76x\SQRBINW
\---- IMAGES
\---- JRE
\---- LIBW
\---- README
\---- SAMPLEW
\---- TUTORIAL
Create a NEW folder under SQRBINW called BINW and copy the files from
SQRBINW to BINW, and only the files in SQRBINW not the subdirectories or the
files in the subdirectories. Also, modify variable SQRDIR located in
X:\FS76x\SQR\PSSQR.INI and variable SQRBIN located in P:\ClientCfg\FS76x.cfg
(vers 7.60 uses financials.cfg), so they point to the BINW directory. SQRDIR
will normally be pointing to dummy, and SQRBIN since will normally be
pointing to the SQRBINW directory.
When running SQR from a .bat file, be sure to reference SQRW.EXE from
P:\fs76x\sqrbinw\binw.
On the Server this isn't an issue since it is Unix.
Note, this problem shows up on Win2000 machines that have had SP2 installed.

Is anyone having issues with Windows 2000 SP2? We have found that if it is
applied you cannot send the sqr log file to C:\Temp\ anymore which creates
several issues. You can change the directory, but the setenv.sqc sets the
output directory to C:\Temp\., and the list goes on. Does anyone know of a
work around? Thank you.
