Appending to a .log file using -A

I need to append to a log file when I'm running a particular job thru SQRW,
and I know -A is the flag I need to use.  Unfortunately for me, I have not
figured out just where the -A is supposed to occur in the scheme of things.
 I've unsuccessfully tried many combinations, with no luck.

Does anyone have a suggestion?
