Re: NT print problem

You should have no problem with opening the printer using the UNC name -
perhaps you have a rights issue? We do it all the time with no problem, but
we do use the FileSystemObject and open it as a text file (but which does
include printer control codes).

Subject: NT print problem

Hi all,

This is not a BRIO issue...

But then I am trying to print a BRIO report from VB on
to a printer configured on NT server.
When I try to print the report in NT using the command

print /D:\\WM0002\HP-DESK01 sample.txt

This command says the file is successfully spooled.

In VB is am trying to open the \\WM0002\HP-DESK01 to
write in binary, it says

"Path is Invalid."

Is the path given in PRINT command different from the
exact path of the printer ? How can I know the exact
path for the printer configured on NT. I am used to
UNIX and very to NT. Can someone tell me some
commands to know the path for a printer ?

Thanks,

Joe.
