Re: SQR editor

I've always been fond of the editor formerly known as "Qedit" (now known as
TSE). It's available at www.semware.com. (it's kind of expensive though)

It has a ton of features, including the ability to execute many common
compilers (and any you manually add - such as SQRW) and has the ability to
parse the compile logs and show you a list of the errors and take you directly
to them. (It's preconfigured for languages like C++, Perl, Pascal, etc. - you
just tell it which compiler you're using for that file type and it will
remember it).

For SQR it's mostly manual setup - I had to define my own syntax highlighting
scheme (but it's easy to do) and had to configure the compile feature myself
(though it only runs the SQR - I haven't been able to get it to do the extra
stuff it'll do for other languages).

The macro language is powerful too - and many of the included macros are quite
useful.

Ultra Edit isn't bad either - I'd be using that if I didn't have TSE. I'd
recommend you try both - I prefer TSE but some might prefer UE because TSE
isn't graphical (it's still a text-mode application despite being a 32-bit
application).

Hello all.

Does anyone know of a good SQR editor? Something that highlights keywords and
has good editing faciities?

Cheers,
Steve
