problems in migrating from SQR REPORTS version 4 to Version 6.0

I have just moved from SQR version 4.3 to 6.0
In Version 4.3 i was printing images(gif file) with -PRINTER:PD  option
There i had no problem of PDF file corruption due to 'print-image'.A few day
back i installed version 6.0.
Since then i am not able to view the PDF file with the gif image included.
If i remove the gif (comment out the print-image command) the PDF file is
correct.
But even this is a random problem.With some gif images the PDF file does not
get corrupted.
Are there any points to be taken into consideration while making the gif.
Does the 'print-image' command and 'alter-printer font=4 font-size =9' have
any effect on each other.
Is there any other SQR command which could be having an adverse affect on
the print-image

The pdf files with SQR version 4 show that their version is 1.1
the pdf files with SQR version 6.0 show that their version is 1.3

Do i have to upgrade Acrobat reader as well?
