Installing SQR and getting it to work in Oracle database and application on two databases

Our oracle application version 10 resideson Oracle 7.3.4 database. Our tables
reside on Oracle database 8.1.6. We are installing SQR version 6.1.3 and
trying to get SQR to work with two Oracle database. During our installation we
chose the option Oracle 8.1.6 option. We tried to run SQR reports within our
Oracle application, which resides on 7.3.4 database. SQR gives us "memory
fault (core dump)" error when we do this. However, SQR runs perfectly when we
run our reports at command line (outside Oracle application).
Does anyone know how to get SQR to work in a two database?
